Science day 2015
During this course (Educ561) we have learned how to design a scientific poster and how posters can be used in teaching. Posters can facilitate oral practice as they encourage students to talk and participate. Posters also help students to express a certain topic in their own ways. In addition, they help to accommodate a variety of learning styles by dealing with all students in the class. The last spring I have created a poster for the modern topics in biology course which was about the bovine (cow) milk proteins involved in the development of the immune and digestive systems of the newborn. LPL, RNASE, and Plasminogen proteins were involved in the development of the digestive system. Whereas, LPO, Immujnoglobulins, and serum Amyloid A proteins were involved in the development of the immune system. So as conclusion from this study, the biological function of milk is to provide protection for the newborn and supply all the necessary nutrients for maintenance and growth such as energy, amino acids, minerals and vitamins. This is also applied to human beings. It was a very nice experience where I have been judged by two instructors. I didn't won, but I learned many things such as don't give up when you are trying to reach a certain goal, you may have many other chances.

It is really a nice experience to be judged by instructors as well as to convince them with your research especially if it is based on experiments and real outcomes
ReplyDeleteVery interesting information in your poster, even if you didn't win but you get so much information
